Generosity and kind support has enabled Frame of Mind Films to complete the first two films in the Women of Tibet trilogy.  We are actively seeking additional funding to bring this, the third and final documentary to completion and our national television audience.

Logline:

Women of Tibet: The Sacred Marriage is a unique exploration of the radical changes women and men experience on the quest to become fully realized human beings. It delves into what it means to follow a spiritual path while re-examining traditional roles in the context of a 21st century filled with the demands of modern living.

Synopsis:

With rare access to His Holiness the 14th Dalai Lama at his home in Dharamsala, India, The Sacred Marriage features interviews with him, as well as conversations with his brother, Tendzin Choegyal/Ngari Rinpoche, and wife Rinchen Khando Choegyal, the late Cultural Anthropologist Angeles Arrien, Theologian Matthew Fox, spiritual teachers Lama Palden Drolma, Lama Tsomo, and Lama Tsultrim Allione, and oracles and mediums the late Lhamo Yudonma, Lhamo Tseringma, and Khandro Choechen.

We are at a pivotal time in human history in our fight for global rights and freedoms. It is in this context that The Sacred Marriage has the potential to inspire and ignite hope in communities yearning for honest leaders committed to peace, democracy, and equality. It offers a beacon of light in the darkness, showing that the answer to our problems as a human race may not lie in the search for outward power but in an inner fusion of the inherent forces within. The Sacred Marriage is a timely and timeless film highlighting what happens when two primal forces, the Divine Feminine and the Sacred Masculine, work together to create a more harmonious and peaceful world.

In today’s beleaguered world, The Sacred Marriage offers us a unique perspective rarely explored through the cinematic lens. With never-before-seen archival footage and multidisciplinary, cross-cultural interviews, this inspiring film expands our understanding of the forces within each of us, empowering, challenging, and ultimately illuminating the human potential for good.

the late Angeles Arrien, Cultural Anthropologist & Author of the Four-Fold Way

"The millennium generation from eighteen to thirty-four is really wanting to work with both energies ... They're wanting to be seen for their personhood which involves working with those two life-force energies."

Matthew Fox, Author and Theologian

"So the need for men to wake up swiftly is imperative, because as a species we're not going to make it, unless both men and women, and the masculine and the feminine which of course overlaps at both, is alive and well."
